Increasing Your Health and Happiness at Home, One Tail at a Time

I came across this great article that I wanted to share! Here is a small excerpt:

No one said it better than George Eliot: “Animals are such agreeable friends—they ask no questions, they pass no criticisms.” Pets are such an ideal source of unconditional love! They will always be happy to see us and we can count on an enthusiastic hello to brighten the day. We may often find ourselves rushing into the office for a morning meeting—we should be just as diligent about dashing home to be greeted by a pet in the evening! Here’s how our furry friends can increase health and happiness at home.

Tips for Planning Ahead

Being prepared will help pave the way for a positive pet sitting experience:

  • Make your pet sitting reservations as early as possible, especially prior to holidays.
  • Have an extra house/apartment key made for the pet sitter.  Make sure it works.
  • Buy extra food, litter and supplies before you go away.  Always buy a little extra in case you’re away longer than expected.
  • Let the sitter know where to find cleaning tools – vacuum, mop, broom, dustpan, sponges, cleaners trash bags.
  • Show the sitter where the fuse box/circuit breaker is and where to find new fuses.
  • Make sure your dog’s collar fits properly and includes an identification tag.
  • Is your dog used to walking on a leash?  If not, practice with him/her beforehand.

Happy Fall!

What a great time of year!  Have ya’ll checked out the new dog park at Piedmont? Oh, and there is new doggie bakery opening on Peachtree in Buckhead around November 6th near Fellini’s/La Fonda called Wolf Gang Bakery… can’t wait to check it out and spoil the babies.

Anyhooo, I’m loving this weather, I’ve added a new kitty since June, a new Boston puppy has arrived on Friday, went on my first vacation in years to Scottsdale at the end of September, and tennis is going great! Oh, and how are you liking the new website??  I’d love to catch up with you and see what your Thanksgiving and Christmas/New Years holiday needs might be so I can have you covered in advance.

This year I have been so blessed with  having Maggie, Emily, Jon, Brittany, and Karynna on board with CutiePaws.  They are nothing less than amazing and I couldn’t do it without them! If you haven’t met them yet, you and your babies will completely fall in l o v e when you do!

Look forward to hearing from  you soon!
