What is a meet and greet and why is it required?
The meet and greet is an in-home visit where we get to know you and your pet before services begin. This allows us to understand routines, behavior, and care instructions so your pet receives safe, personalized care from day one.
What happens during a pet sitting or dog walking visit?
Each visit includes feeding, fresh water, potty breaks, walks, playtime, medication (if needed), and lots of love 🐾 After every visit, you’ll receive a detailed update with notes and photos through the CutiePaws app.
What if I’m unable to use a lockbox for home access?
No problem at all. We understand that every home is different. If a lockbox isn’t an option, we’re happy to work with you to arrange a safe, secure, and reliable alternative for accessing your home during pet sitting visits.
Our goal is to make the process easy and stress-free while ensuring your pet receives consistent, dependable care.

Can you visit my cat every few days instead of daily?
At a minimum, we require visits every other day. However, we strongly recommend daily visits whenever possible 💖

New Client Meet & Greet Policy
All new clients are required to complete a pet sitting meet and greet before services begin.
- Initial In-Person Meet & Greet: $15
- Additional Virtual Meet & Greet: Complimentary
- Additional In-Person Meet & Greets: $22
This allows us to learn your pet’s routine, behavior, and care needs to ensure safe and personalized service.
Professional Pet Sitting Team Policy
CutiePaws operates as a professional team of pet sitters and dog walkers.
While we aim to assign a primary sitter, we may assign another qualified team member based on:
- Availability
- Scheduling efficiency
- Your pet’s needs
All pet care services are subject to availability and cannot be guaranteed.
We do not coordinate or share responsibility with:
- Friends
- Family members
- Neighbor caregivers
- Other pet care providers
CutiePaws is only responsible for services performed during scheduled visits.
Client Profile & Pet Care Information Policy
To ensure the highest quality in-home pet care, clients must keep their profiles updated in the client portal.
Required information includes:
- Pet feeding instructions
- Medications
- Veterinary information
- Emergency contacts
- Home access details
CutiePaws is not responsible for issues resulting from outdated or incomplete information.
Emergency Veterinary Care Authorization Policy
In the event of a pet health emergency, CutiePaws is authorized to seek veterinary care.
We will:
- Contact your listed veterinarian first
- Use the nearest available veterinary clinic if needed
Clients are responsible for all veterinary costs incurred during emergency care.
Pet Sitting Payment & Billing Policy
Payment is required at the time of booking to secure your reservation.
We accept:
- Visa
- MasterCard
- American Express
Additional details:
- Tips can be set as automatic gratuity
- A $25 late fee may apply to unpaid invoices
- Unused service credits expire after 6 months
Services are not confirmed until payment is received.
Pet Sitting Cancellation Policy
We require a 48-hour notice for pet sitting cancellations.
- Cancellations are non-refundable
- With proper notice, credits may be applied to future services
- No refunds or credits for early returns or late departures
Holiday Pet Sitting & Peak Rate Policy
Holiday pet sitting services must be paid in full at booking.
Observed holidays include major U.S. holidays such as:
Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year’s, Independence Day, and more.
Holiday policies:
- Major holidays require 7 days notice for changes
- Holiday services are charged at 1.5× standard rates
- Peak period surcharge: $6 per visit
Last-Minute & Same-Day Pet Sitting Policy
Pet sitting or dog walking services scheduled within 36 hours may incur a $15 for Priority Scheduling.
Pet Sitting Visit Time Window Policy
While we honor preferred visit times, all dog walking and pet sitting visits are scheduled within time windows based on:
- Route efficiency
- Traffic conditions
- Weather
- Sitter availability
Exact visit times cannot be guaranteed.
Home Access & Key Handling Policy
Clients must provide secure home access using:
- Lockbox (recommended)
- Door code
- Garage code
If we are unable to access your home due to:
- Incorrect codes
- Missing keys
- Dead batteries
The visit will still be charged, and additional fees may apply.
Inclement Weather Pet Care Policy
During severe weather conditions:
- Visits may be delayed for safety
- Dog walks may be shortened
- Walks may be replaced with indoor play and potty breaks
Your pet’s safety and our team’s safety are our top priorities.
Additional Pet Care Policies & Requirements
To ensure safe and effective pet care:
- Crated dogs require a minimum of two visits per day
- Cats require visits at least every other day
- All pets must be up to date on vaccinations
- No retractable leashes permitted
- Proper collars or harnesses required (martingale or easy-walk preferred)
Additional notes:
- Clients are responsible for injuries caused by their pets
- Additional fees may apply for:
- Accidents
- Illness care
- Excessive clean-up
- Delays or access issues
CutiePaws is not responsible for:
- Outdoor pets
- Pets with unrestricted outdoor access
- False alarm charges

By using our services, clients grant permission for CutiePaws to use pet photos for:
- Social media
- Website marketing
We will never share:
- Owner names
- Addresses
